The growth of the Business Media China AG emerges on 3 levels. The growth strategy of the BMC AG is based on organic growth (level 1) as well as acquisitions within the range of the existing business areas (level 2). Through the cooperation with WALL AG and the entrance into partnerships with its client cities, the management board expects a further significant growth spurt (level 3).

    Level 1

The established business of the Business Media China group will develop continuously in double-digit percentages. The exhibition sector will develop according to plan whereas the predicted numbers within the advertising sector cannot be realised due to the slower progressing business development of the railway advertising. The high initial investments required a new evaluation in the profitability of the planned All China Roll Out. Within this sector the BMC AG will initially grow more slowly.

    Level 2

The company plans to acquire two new exhibitions in Beijing and Guangzhou in 2009 which fit into the existing portfolio and which are highly profitable after close examination. Within the advertising sector the participation in further biddings is planned in order to complete the existing range with further interesting media formats.

    Level 3

BMC AG will open up new business areas through the cooperation with WALL AG. Besides the existing premium range of airport and railway advertising, BMC AG is opening the profitable market of partnerships with client cities. Therewith BMC AG is going to close contracts with cities in China concerning the complete one-stop city furnishing for long-term advertising licenses within the respective city. Due to this business concept, companies such as JCDecaux, CLEAR-Channel, Ströer and also the WALL AG achieved significant growth. Already in 2009 the company expects to close the first city contracts. The advertising revenues will show super-proportional growth rates starting in 2010. BMC AG relies on working contacts to the responsible city departments and will accompany the setup of this new business area with several exhibitions and conferences.
